Will the data that's stored on the cloud be secured through some form of encryption?
Clibu performs full text search and indexing on the server. For this to work it requires access to unencrypted content. We could store content encrypted and then decrypt it for search purposes, however this would dramatically reduce the effectiveness of encryption in the first place and would also impact performance.
There are plans to enable you (or us) to install and run Clibu on a server you own and control and plans to enable you to install and run Clibu on your own PC. These are both options for folks that feel they need more control over where their data is stored.
